A little more than 2 weeks ago, just under 40 of us gathered at the Google Singapore's office for SG-GTUG's July meetup. The theme was Google Apps Script.
This was the first time we had the unusual situation where all of the speakers were abroad: with Saurabh located in New York City, USA, and Romain in Paris, France. On top of that we were of course in 3 different time zones. The logistical problems were nicely solved by using various social media technologies: Google Hangout (an excellent video chat feature in Google+) for the actual presentations, Cisco WebEx Web Conferencing for the slides, and the occasional texting using Google Chat. Despite some initial hiccups due to power trips in the planned venue (thanks to Owen from Google for helping us to find an alternative room so quickly), I am glad to say that everything turned out well and we all learnt something useful that day!
Here are the slides for Saurabh's introduction to Google Apps Script.
Finally a big thanks to Saurabh for staying up for us on a Friday night - I believed he ended up going to bed around 3am - and Romain for having an early start to Saturday.
Till the next meetup!
